Record Participation at Fall Conference

Griffiths members kicked off the year Oct. 9 & 10 in Columbia at the Fall Conference. On Friday evening, members enjoyed a presentation on leadership and friendship by Angela Bendorf Jamison, BJ ‘85. Angela is one of the girls from Ames, a group of eleven women who have celebrated forty years of friendship. She shared her story as well as her prescription for friendship - B1. imageOn Saturday, members were treated to presentations on the dangers of plastics, campus sustainability measures, women in male dominated fields and a campus botanical gardens tour. Luncheon keynote speaker Jo Lena Johnson, BA ‘92, provided women on lessons for leadership as well as afternoon workshops on enhancing your leadership skills. The afternoon concluded with a panel presentation by three Mizzou female athletes - Michelle Collins, Alicia Hatcher, and Krishna Lee - as well as a closing reception freaturing an overview of cancer and fitness by Dr. Anna Schwartz.
