Griffiths Member Honored by Alumni Alliance
Mizzou alumni will take Jefferson City by storm on Wednesday, March 5, at the annual Missouri Legislative Day at the Capitol. On Tuesday evening, the University of Missouri Alumni Alliance will hold a banquet to honor legislators and present the 2008 Outstanding Alumni Service Awards.
The Mizzou Alumni Association is pleased to announce that Rep. Judy Baker of Columbia will be recognized at the banquet for her service to MU. Baker is an ardent supporter of MU and MU Healthcare. Baker received a Bachelor of Educational Studies in 1981 and a Master of Health Administration from MU in 2002. Baker is a member of Griffiths and was tapped into Mystical 7 in 2006.
In addition to Baker, the following individuals are being recognized by the campuses, UM System, and Extension: Congressman Kenny Hulshof, UM System; Freda Mendez Smith, UMKC; Rep. Steven Tilley, UMSL; Rep. Bob May, Missouri S&T; and Sen. Frank Barnitz, University Extension.
The Mizzou Legislative Network encourages all Mizzou alumni and friends to participate in University of Missouri Day at the Capitol. Come thank legislators for their support of the University, advocate for future support of Missouri’s Flagship University and seek support for the 2008 Mizzou Alumni Association legislative platform. A rally will be held at 10 a.m. for all University supporters to hear legislative leadership address the group. Gov. Blunt has been invited to speak.
