Griffiths Member Recognized with MAA Volunteer Award
Debbie Snellen loves Mizzou and will go to great lengths to show her devotion.
Currently hailing from Whitefish, Montana, Debbie travels for hours on planes, trains, and automobiles to make it back to Mizzou on a regular basis. But she doesn’t let the distance deter her from making a difference in the Association.
Debbie has served on multiple Long Range Planning Committees, and played a significant role in the development of the Association’s Mission, Vision, and Guideposts. Prior to moving to Montana, Debbie served as President of the Mizzou Alumni Association from 2003-2004. During that time she instated a process to evaluate and assess annually our MAA executive director for the betterment of MAA, and co-chaired the search committee that lead to the hiring of current MAA Executive Director, Todd McCubbin. In addition, Debbie is the brainchild behind Leadership Mizzou and was instrumental in the development of Griffiths Leadership Society for Women.
Debbie’s contributions to MAA and MU are incredible and we are excited to acknowledge her as a 2010 Tiger Pride Award recipient.
