It’s Your Choice…Choose a Destination and Thrive!

What Do You Really Want? So many times people focus on what they don’t want in life—and forget about what they do want. Now, of course, in making a big purchase decision like a car, home, or other real estate, we tend to take our time and do the research—mainly because a significant amount of money is on the line.

However, I ask you to step back and think about other important areas of your life—your day to day thoughts, feelings, habits and practices. Are you satisfied and joyful, frightened and afraid, or concerned and encouraged? Whatever is your current state, your thoughts will dictate your new extraordinary results or keep you in your comfort zone of whatever is normal for you.

During victories and “mountain top” experiences where life seems to be going well, it’s easy to “claim” what we did well. For example, “I got a raise,” sounds really good, and it’s not a hard thing to share with the right people. However, saying, “I got a poor evaluation from my supervisor,” may not be as easy to express. Your actions and behaviors may or may not have been factors in of the statements but telling somebody negative things about you or your life may not always be the easiest thing to state, share or acknowledge—even to yourself.

Though it’s already February, it’s still the very beginning of a brand new year! Do you realize that you draw people to you every day? You have probably heard of “the law of attraction” or other similar principles found in new thought literature or in the best seller “The Secret.” Your life, world and affairs are what you make them. You model for yourself and others—and with clear vision, steadfast tenacity, resourcefulness, guidance, and God; you can have what you really want if you are willing to do the work.

Now, let’s talk about other things that matter—relationships, communication and personal responsibility. It’s all about choosing healthy habits—routinely. Enjoying the people for which you spend the most time loving, supporting, and providing. I urge you to look forward to opportunities to grow, expand and to make new choices that will impact your life positively—if you chose to consider them!

When you know what you really want and actually take action, you can and will achieve your goals. One of the biggest challenges, though, is when goals are not financial or tangible. When they are about those we love, quality of relationships, personal peace, satisfaction and self-care—like work-life balance.

Days can be spent focused on earning money, saving money, investing money and spending money. They can be filled with meetings, schedules, routines, daily responsibilities—and old habits that die hard. In order to gain greater understanding and move forward, it takes clarity of purpose, flexibility and a willingness to make good choices.

Be gentle about your past and super focused about your future—your extraordinary destiny awaits!
